Den greske koreografen Ermira Goro inviterer i Sirens publikum med på en sensuell og mystisk reise inn i begjærets verden og hvordan begjæret gis ulike sosiale uttrykk. De to utøverne på scenen, Chara Kotsali and Adonis Vais, gjennomgår store endringer på scenen og uttrykker gjennom et variert bevegelsesmateriale en historie om drømmer og frihet. De tilegner seg og avviser stereotype kjønnsroller, og skaper et særegent og personlig språk for å uttrykke seg selv. Komponisten og lydkunstneren Jeph Vanger har skrevet musikk spesielt for denne forestillingen.

Ermira Goro er en nyskapende kunstner som spesialiserer seg på bevegelse, dans og performance. Hun utforsker stadig nye uttrykksformer for å formidle sine ideer, med et særlig fokus på å utvikle tverrfaglige forestillinger som fenger og inspirerer publikum. Hun er utdannet ved den greske nasjonale danseskolen, og videreutdannet seg i New York med stipend fra Koula Pratsika Foundation og Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). I løpet av tiden i New York samarbeidet hun med anerkjente internasjonale dansekompanier og skapte sine første koreografiske verk. Fra 2007 til 2018 hadde Ermira Goro det privilegium å samarbeide med det verdenskjente DV8 Physical Theatre som utøver, lærer og utviklings-og koreografiassistent. I 2022 ble hun nominert til prisen Outstanding Performer ved The Bessies, The New York Dance and Performance Awards. I tillegg til å skape og opptre, har Ermira blitt invitert av internasjonale organisasjoner som pedagog og koreograf.

I årenes løp har Ermiras arbeid fått støtte og blitt presentert på en rekke festivaler og scener i Hellas og rundt om i verden, og hun har høstet kritikernes anerkjennelse for sin fantasifulle og unike tilnærming til scenekunst.

Ermira Goro’s new dance performance Sirens invites the audience on a sensual and mysterious journey into the world of desire and its social expression. Chara Kotsali and Adonis Vais are transformed on stage, expressing through their movement a story of dreams and freedom. The two bodies appropriate and reject stereotypical gender roles, creating an idiosyncratic language of self-expression. The original musical composition of the show is signed by Jeph Vanger.

Ermira Goro is a highly innovative artist specialising in movement, dance and performance. She is constantly exploring new forms of expression to convey her ideas, with a particular focus on developing interdisciplinary performances that captivate and inspire her audiences. Ermira graduated from the the Greek National School of Dance and furthered her training in New York with scholarships from the Koula Pratsika Foundation and the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). During her time in New York, she collaborated with renowned international dance companies and created her initial choreographic works. From 2007 to 2018, Ermira had the privilege of collaborating with the world-renowned DV8 Physical Theatre as a performer, teacher, and Research and Development / Choreography Assistant. In 2022, Ermira received a nomination for Outstanding Performer at The Bessies, The New York Dance and Performance Awards. Alongside creating and performing, Ermira has been invited by internationals organisations to teach and create choreographic works.

Over the years, Ermira's work has been supported and presented at numerous festivals and venues in Greece and around the world, earning critical acclaim for its imaginative and unique approach.
